Disc brake bolts

Asked by Impalagringo Apr 04, 2007 at 02:48 AM about the 1969 Chevrolet Impala

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On the 67-70 Impala factory disc brakes, there is a short, fat bolt that holds the dust shield on to the spindle. I believe the size is 11/16 x 1". I cannot find these bolts anywhere and I need 3 of them. Do I have you stumped or can you help me?

Hello Impalagringo-- Do you actually think you can stump Bovan? For these often forgotten items for our classic cars, I usually find what I need by calling a local junkyard. These junk dealers are actually quite sophisticated nowadays and most are part of a nationwide network. A few clicks on their computer and they should be able to find you those bolts for you 1969 Chevrolet Impala. For a start, try www.junkyarddog.com. Good luck from Bovan.
