have a 1966 impala 327 engine. can not get any plug fire.

Check the wires, cap, rotor and points/condenser.

have replaced wires, cap, rotor, points, condenser, coil. checked for 12 volts at + on coil. points are also getting fire but coil not firing. I was told that the distributor could be bad. any thoughts on that
