I am restoring a 1960 implal. Trying to get the correct color back. Original white w/ white and black interior. 2 questions: were the rims painted red? and if so would the painted stripe on the rear rear quarters also be red? It appears that under the paint on rims that they were red/ Is that just primer? I thought I saw a picture of this color combo but cannot find it now.

Hello, I do not believe the rims were painted red. Here is a picture of a restoration showing a white exterior, black interior Impala: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/9/0/87727190.htm Best of luck! CarGrrl
