Hello mixologist-- An alarm system was not an available option on the Chevrolet Corvette in 1992. It became an option in 1999 and became standard equipment on all models in 2002. Your alarm system is aftermarket. Most aftermarket systems do go off when someone tries to open a door without a key or remote signal. Good luck from Bovan.
