brake lights switch?

Asked by mariavictoria122 Oct 20, 2009 at 08:36 PM about the 1989 Toyota MR2

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own a beauty of a Toyota MR2 '89. Suddenly, the brake lights are turning on/off at random & i've been told the brake light switch is obsolete and the part can't be found. Anybody out there have a suggestion about this problem?

This is most likely to be easier said than done, I would try to find a fabricate a brake switch to put in the place of the obsolete part or try to visit parts recycling yard. using these websites may help you. http://car-part.com/ http://www.copartfinder.com/finderHome.do http://www.usedpartsfinder.com/ Perhaps you could also search for MR2 enthusaist group for other suggestions. I wish you the best of luck.
