what engine will fit?

Will a 383 strocker fit in a 1968 belair? It hadf a 327 now it has a 350 that just went out. Thanks for any help.

The block is the same size for all Small Block Chevys all the way up to 400. 383 strokers are a nice engine with much more torque than the 327 or 350

Thanks man, so really no matter what year the engine is, it should drop in? Appreciate the responce!

If you have time $ and patience, you could swap a LS1 in there. It would require more to swap than a '86 or older engine but gives you more power and mileage. Your car looks pretty stock, so you might want to keep the motor old school too.
