How do I turn off my cargo light on a 1994 2wd pickup

when i turn off my headlights and the engine, my tail lights and cargo light
remain on.

Do you have a cargo light push button on your dash? If so, will it shut the cargo light off? On my Tundra, the cargo light comes on every time you open the door. Is yours wired to the door jamb button as well? Or do you have to hit a button to turn on your cargo light? Not sure how the older trucks were wired up.
