Crazy tranny!

My moms toyota camry wasnt going into reverse so my brother replaced the
nuetral safety switch after another friend had changed tranny fluid and filter etc.
the switch looked visibly broken according to my bro. But low and behold now the
cargoes into reverse but it wont go into drive!! Any thoughts?

A rebuilt transmission will cost more than the car is worth so don't fix it unless it is a keeper.
