Asked by Britt Jan 30, 2019 at 05:27 PM about the 2002 Toyota RAV4

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 rav4 it recently began smoking and
now it won't start. I took it to my mechanic and he
said he can not find anything wrong with it. Any
suggestions on what could be the problem. Some
ppl told me it may be a gasket others said I may
need my car reset. Please help!

If was smoking but now will not start most likely the spark plugs are fouled you can replace with new ones and may start but need to find out why it is smoking will foul out the new plugs

Check your oil if there's water mixed in with the oil there's a good possibility you going to need a head gasket
