You have a check engine light on, correct? I have you had the car diagnosed?

I agree .....if the CEL is on when the engine is running.....we need to know what codes are stored. This sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Before you start her up again....pull the engine dipstick and check the ...quality.....quantity......feel...and smell of the oil. If it smells like gas...DO NOT start the engine. You'll experience a mega malfunction. Get back with results.

The BLACK looking SP's...not a good sign. MY guess is your vehicle is Over Fueling. Check eng. dip stick for gas and rubber hose a Fuel pressure regulator. Inside hose has GAS in it....NG....bad fuel pressure REG.

What would cause that "smoking out the tailpipe".....The black looking SP? Time to check the Fuel Delivery System. Time to check the Fuel Pressure. Just MY opinion.

Start with the CEL, go from there. Clearly the car is running rich, but enrichment could easily be an ECU issue, and/or a bad injector(s).

T2f.....is your answer the fix for this vehicle....or....your opinion?
