Well here I am again. I got new battery for 2004 Toyota solara had been starting fine. Now all of the sudden turn car off and it's dead there aren't even any lights coming on but takes a jump.

Get another jump and drive the car to the auto store and have them put a volt meter on the alternator. (Don't shut car off) It sounds like yours is bad and not charging the battery. It should be putting out at least 14 volts. If alternator is working, I would suspect bad cables or loose connections. Have them check cables and grounds as well.

Just had alternator checked out it was fine a week ago. I will recheck . If the battery is not as big as the old one would that do it. I was given a new battery just not as big as old one. Wow I sound dumb , but would that do it?

No, if the alternator is working and charging the battery, it should work fine. It almost sounds like it's your ignition switch. If you turn the switch on, you aren't getting any dash lights at all?

My fiance went out and removed the battery tested it and it was good He put it back in and it seems fine now . Probably just needed to be tightened. Thanks for your help.

Don't add up.. If it dies again. Grab a multi meter set it up to measure amps disconnect the positive battery wire connect your test leads from battery to positive lead .. this is a load test. If everything is fine it'll read mili amps.. with ignition off. If you have an open circuit it'll read something.. sometimes a bad relay can create an open Circuit and though a component is not running it will drain your battery..
