2004 TOYOTA CAMRY TIMING BELT OR TIMING CHAIN

I believe the L4 uses a chain while the V6's both use a timing belt.

Camry All Camrys from 1990 to 2001 and V6s from 1990 to 2006 have belts which should be replaced every 60k miles. 4-cylinder Camrys built from 2002 on – and V6s from 1990 on – have chains.

HeidiDog answer is a conflicting about V6's. I think the first part is correct. V6's from 2007 on have chains.
