Does he want an automatic or manual? If he wants a manual, tell him to get an X-Runner.. It's a 6 speed

why a toyota tacoma? a lot of people dont like american made products but american trucks are the best hands down. just my opinion

we have two '05 Tacomas' that we beat the heck out of on our farm they both have V6. Both of them have held up really well. For a mid size pickup i dont think that you can get anything better. They are alot better then the midsize american made pickups.

yeah the transmition problems are common on the automatic gear box! but still the tacoma was used by the u.s army over in iraq during opperation freedom and they never had any problems with theirs! its known as a hilux over here and its been proven that these models are near indesrtuctable( left out at sea! dropped from over 100 ft you name it and it still worked)

I have a 2005 Tacoma with 4 litre V6. Not a single problem with auto tranny. I had to force the dealer to change the fluid regularly. They said it is a life long fluid so doesn’t need changing. I said bs and just change it. No problems. Now the truck has intermittent stiff steering. Looks like intermediate shaft is corroded at the universal joint. A pricy job to replace it.
