Why Blinking key in a car light on the dash
What does it mean when my pruis is parked and there is on the dash a blinking
light symbol of a key inside a car.

Your security system has been activated for some reason. There are instructions for getting out of this in the owners manual, but they're usually cumbersome and it's more likely that you'll need a dealer or locksmith to do this. After which, have the car checked out to find out why this happened.

If it shuts off when your inside with the key and in the run position then it's fine, the light is showing that the alarm is set and will sound if an attempted theft is happening.
