window motor

my window rolled down yesterday and would not roll back up. Mechanic says
car needs a new motor for the window. he's estimating $430. Is this
accurate??? Seems crazy pricey??

Parts and labor may indeed add up to that amount. If you are handy with tools you might be able to fix it yourself and save about 75% or you might make it worse and cost yourself more money. It's your money and your decision. Perhaps do an internet search for a youtube video showing the repair to see if you thin you are up to the task.
