Can you drive short distances with a broken front coil

Your talking about the suspension coil! If i were out in the middle of nowhere Yes! But if your talking short trips around town? NOOOO, Beside the coil the only othe thing supporting the weight is the shock absorber? When you go around a corner weight is transferred to the opposite side e.g. Turn right left side recieves the weight! You will bend the shock and depending on sway bar may damage the links to it as well!! If it was emergency and I could go 5 mph to get to civilization then hobble out! But it is not wise to place the car in normal traffic under normal speeds! The only short distance drive would be to a shop to fix it!! And very very slow, flashing red lights on and somebody following you!!
