where do i locate the flasher on a 1999 chevy S10 truck

Should be located on the steering column, down below just above the pedals, clipped to the column. It may also be underneath the plastic surround on your steering column, as they vary the position of these from mfg. to mfg.

I have the big 6 cylinder and the flashers are located under the plastic cover to the left of the lighter. You need to remove the lowest plastic cover then remove the screws for the next level that is beside the lighter.
