Trucks not going into drive unless I rev the engine.

Asked by Yolag Jan 27, 2015 at 02:31 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet S-10

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a chevy s-10 '00. It's in decent condition. However a month ago it had a
situation where I put it into drive and it didn't respond. I put it in park, reved it a bit till I
felt a bump, and it worked again. Did the same thing today and I can't figure it out. It
doesn't seem to effect reverse at all and the only noticeable thing that started sort of
recently was lately at 45-50 it can feel like the accelerators pumping. Not sure if that's
even related.

I'm checking fluids now, but when it happened the first time everything seemed fine.
