putting in code to unlock radio

Question type: General

My radio cd player tape deck combo broke so I purchased used one on e bay. I asked
seller for the vin number of vehicle which he gave got the serial number off of radio went
on website ang got code. It unlocked radio plays fine but why is the cd player and tape
deck not working ?
