What to do :torque converter or ?

2000 automatic. honda crv
135000.no rust clean ..and
runs great. Accept when it
goes into 2nd gear.it
vibrates a little when
engaged ..it wasn't
noticeable when I bought it  
5 months ago. it doesn't
vibrate the car , you can
hear it ..it doesn't do it all
the time either.when I have
go quickly over 2 rpm . Also
if I'm in  stop and go traffic
It engages with a loud
clanging noise..to avoid the
vibration I'll accelerate then
let off before it engages
into 2nd gear..i was told it
could be torque converter.
.if it is, I don't trust
anyone..what are the pro's
and cons. ?

I have replaced my torque convertor 3 times. I am a letter carrier but the first time it went out was at 42,000 miles. Someone at honda told me the older models dont go out like mine because mine is newer. It is a 2013. I was also told they put those on for better fuel economy snd they could be disconected and i shoukdnt have any more problems. I have read several complaints today from over 7 years ago so apparently they go out with older models. Don't think i will buy another one.

To the person directly above - if your constantly have a problem like this I suspect you may have transmission cooling problems from slow, stop and go driving. Maybe you need to have a fan assisted transmission cooler installed.
