bronco want stay running

Asked by lannyeb1 Jun 07, 2010 at 09:32 PM about the 1989 Ford Bronco II

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1989 bronco II that when you crank the engine it will run for a second or two then cut off. I have replaced both fuel pumps, i have fuel pressure at the rail and about 40lbs of pressure on the gauge, i also replaced fuel pump relay, and ecm relay, ive checked the tps or the trottle position sensor, the only time i could get it to stay running is when i unplugged the tps sensor and it only ran for about 20 sec then cut off. It did not have any pedal response at all,if you have any ideas please let me no.thanks Lanny
