starter engages but kicks out after a few seconds what is causing this problem?

found wiring problem last week- wiring from distributor going across intake to driver side had faulty connection in that harness- now this week a new problem with starter not staying engaged

sylonid on top of starter is bad,you would come out better to replace starter.
