Can I transplant a 351M engine in place of the current 302 powerplant

Why would you want to - 351w will slap right in with no hassles

i dont think so bro the m block has a big block bell housing. if you have the tranny there are kits to do it. and no a 351w will not fit easily

You can transplant one but you have to change the transmission as well unless its a standard then you can swap the bellhousing. A 351W would fit in easier. Its the same block as a 302. The only difference is the distance between the heads and the bore size. You can get a lot of power out of those too with the right parts.

a 351w can use the same tranny as a 302 its the same block and such...i would swap a 351w not a 351m
