No clue what a "elctron prod" is. Part of the Motorcraft number is a buzzer....

code scanner, electron brand, under hood if your using obd1 type ,you may have the obd2 a 2 inch wide flat with angle ends,no good for 88 ford ,ground T jack hanging on a 3 inch box near battery and turn on key,dash will blink codes ,over and over two digits each
