Fuel smell

Asked by sweet_chichi22 Dec 20, 2019 at 06:41 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Chevy Equinox that has a horrible
gas smell coming from the rear passenger side.
I've seen where there was a recall on this several
years ago. I just recently got this vehicle. Would I
still be able to get it fixed under the recall? I'm a
single mom and can't afford an outrageous
mechanic bill.

Yes, put it on a lift, repair the hose or source of the leak, may as well get a fuel filter while they are back there~

How many years has Chevy built cars? just sayin'

sheesh, find a local reputable dealer, one who will give you a loaner, or drop you off for your repair~ could shop your area, but is largely a matter of personal contact~

we have kathy "sparkplug" fowler in the Lake co, California, finding a good place is tough~
