Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2007 Chevy Silverado 4.3 V6 is sputtering/hesitating sporadically.  Thought I
would start troubleshooting by replacing my fuel filter.  Guess that's not an
option come to find out.  Truck only has 68,000 miles.  Anyone have any
advice or suggestions?

I say you have dead plugs or a vacum leak or bad plug wires but my first step go to advance or AutoZone they can plug into it tell you exactly for free if check engine light is on

Thank you. Can Auto Zone still hook it up and get codes if Check Engine Light isn't on? My first thought was a bad plug but then figured the issue would be more consistent. Anyway - thanks for the suggestions. I hate car problems!

You can check the plugs pull one wire off at a time if miss gets worse the its good if it don't make any difference then it's bad plug or wire

Really - just rubbing alcohol? Had actually thought bad gas was a possibility. I put some Lucas Fuel Injection cleaner in tonight. Maybe that will help. Thanks again!
