I am adding up to two quarts of oil each week to my 2007 Cobalt. I had it checked, and the mechanic said there are no leaks. What could be causing the car to use so much oil?

Is it blowing white or white/blue tint smoke from tailpipe?

I'd do a compression test, Check for codes to see what its telling you. Sounds like a fairly serious engine problem. That's a lot of oil to be going through. If your mechanic is really a mechanic he should be able to do more than just look for a big leak. Anyone can do that.
