I Got A Audi A4 1996 ..... the speedometer is acting up .... sometimes the rpm and speed dials work and sometimes they dont..... the rest of the dials work perfectly like the heat and the gas dial....

i already asked this before but got no answer i need to know as nobody has yet told me why this is happening the dial for rpm
also vibrates and you can hear it when i switch off the engine

pull the instrument cluster and check the connections in the back. Its stupid easy to do. Pull the panel above the steering wheel(pulls right off) you will see two torx bolts take those out. and work the cluster out. Do you have any lights on in the cluster?

no, no lights are on..... i know the lights are working .. well at least the light for low gas works..... yeah i will have to pull it out and check..... started happening a little while after i changed my battery but that could just be coincidence
