Gear ratio on 2007 GT

Asked by shortstop12 Aug 24, 2007 at 12:43 AM about the 2007 Ford Mustang

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am looking to buy a 2007 Mustang GT and have it narrowed down to 2. One is a GT premium 5 speed and the other is a GT Deluxe with a 5 speed. Is either vehicle standard with a 3:55 gear or does each vehicle depend on how it was ordered?

Hi shortstop12, It seems that the 3.55 final gear ratio is an additional option from the factory. It should say on the window sticker if the option has been added to the car. The estimated mileage is also different when this option is added - it shows a 2 mpg increase for some reason. Hope this helps!

Thnaks for the answer, but both vehicle's I am looking at are used and do not have the window sticker. I was curious if this is in the VIN or somewhere else??
