Question type: General

I recently saved a camaro from the crusher.According to the numbers research I did the car was a factory 305 and 4-speed, A/C delete. blk with blk interior. But what has me are the fiberglass front fenders, did they ever come from the factory with these???I know they never made a Z-28 in 1976, but this car has a Z hood, the fenders have the cutouts where the Z-cars vents were, all the fender flares and deck spoiler, and the brushed metal tail panel has the big Z-(little)28 on it.  Any help out here.

sounds like someone was making a "clone" before you got it. best of luck with the car

Agreed, I saw this a lot at the junkyard, and when I was hauling cars. Guys would start a project car and never finish, wives would get mad and call and have the car hauled away for junk. Sounds like somebody was "making" a Z-28. Still a decent find though. I think I'd try to put it back to normal.
