I am the original owner of a '71 Camaro. It's been sitting in my garage for several years so needs new rubber, fluids, battery. Original headliner, carpet, tranny, engine. Worth? 407-339-1415

Question type: Shopping & Pricing
Red with black interior. 307 350 cubes V-8. A/C, automatic. Not SS. Bought at Potamkin Chevrolet on Miami Beach, now in Altamonte Springs, Fl. for 38 years. All original parts except for normal (headlights, generator, voltage regulator, and I think I replaced the radiator). All original paperwork and maintenance history/receipts. 407-339-1415.

Something like that should be professionally appraised.
I don't know, but I sure would like to have it. Also, in the current social climate, it may be unwise to list phone numbers out in cyberspace.
If its up for sell I would take nothing less than $5 k but if your not in a hurry to unload it you could hold out to up to $8 k I just spent $11 k for a his and hers 72&78 all but engin &tranny fully restored but the guy was in a pinch to sell
does it run? I guess so- how many miles? what condition? paint, interior need restoring? these things will determine the value- you already admit that it has needs- those cost money- the car is not super desirable, as it is not an SS, or have a big, special engine- a manual tranny would help the value- these are mass produced cars and they made thousands of them- if it is in average condition, I would think the value is $3000, maybe $3500- but add a thousand for being original owner, which is cool- I'm not running your car down, as I personally think that the history is very nice on your car- it is not a 60's car, but if it is a cherry ride, that body is desirable, and it could be worth 5 to 6- doesn't seem like a lot, but money is tight for classics and the big money only goes to the few assembly line cars who rolled out with hi-po equipment-
Thanks to all who replied. I guess I'm old school, preferring to talk on the phone, because I know once I've left this site I'll probably never be able to find it again. The car ("Betsy") would run with a new battery. Her carpet is worn, but otherwise in and out are in very good condition. Mileage - about 125,000.
