Bad switch is a good idea; but before replacing it, look for a loose ground connection -yes, these are not always (if ever) easy to find. But look for simple things like a loose screw on the switch housing, or a rubbed through spot on a wire from the switch to door- the door to fuse box etc. HTH Good Luck

loose mounting screws---not quite sure exactly where, but the switch is held together some kind of way...it is this way the mount is letting it flop around like an elephant's trunk~
