Car stopping running

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Power out on dash, air and heat out, radio out, door
locks and windows won't work, got a new battery
two weeks ago and a rebuilt alternator today wheni
drive off in my car I cut the lights on and drive
about two blocks the car started dying out cut the
lights out and the cars started back driving normal
went back to where I was at cut the car off and
tried to start my car back and it was completely die
but the lights still worked what could cause this to
happen?

Have you tried to jump start this vehicle? Careful now.....this must be done correctly...or......Big $$$$$$ repairs.
