Why doesn't work transmission shift after changing

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've changed transmission but it doesn't work . the shift doesn't change and the
car doesn't move . What can I do ? I don't understand the problem. Help !

Is the shifter cable hooked up? Is everything plugged in? It should Enguage in reverse and drive no matter what if they are. Might not shift but it will move. Is it a new tramsmission or a junk yard special? Text me, (940)456-1229 or call. Any noises?
