Power socket replacement

03 Sequoia - one of the power socket blows the 15 Amp fuse under dash when I plug something in it. I took the console out but cant seem to take the socket out of it for testing and possible replacment... help!!!

Sounds like a Camaro I once bought! It had a dead-short because the kid who had it before me wired his stereo to the cigarette-lighter wiring, then yanked it back out, crossing the wires and causing a DEAD-SHORT. If that's what you have, then you will need to find the place where the wires are shorted and repair the insulation on them. Even if they were never tampered with, they sometimes rub against something until they wear off the insulation and then short against metal...

check the wiring one at a time i'm sure you'll find one damaged or exposed
