Seat cushions

Asked by Highlander_774 Feb 22, 2017 at 05:42 PM about the 2002 Subaru Forester

Question type: General

I am wondering if the foam inside
my seats in my 2002 Forester is
made with fire retardant chemicals.
I'm concerned about cancer risks.

Your Forester has aired out for 15 years. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

..now the real question is, does flatulence reduce the fire retardancy of the cushions??

@Karmon, I think it actually introduces methane to the mix and increases the flammability. The total increase is proportional to the number of beans ingested. Flatulence riddled cushions need to be defarted or disposed of.
