The rear passenger carpet of my 2001 audi A 6 wagon is wet. Any ideas?

ouch. was it the floor mat or the carpet under it? check for rust under the car. possibly pull the carpet up a bit. take out the rear seat (just pull it up its held in by clips) and try to pull the carpet up slowly and carefully to see if you can find a hole... i hope one of your friends just spilled a bottle of water back there.
