Changed oil now car won’t turn over

Asked by charlongo Jun 11, 2020 at 01:08 PM about the 2002 Audi TT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Changed the oil and the next day car will start but
not stay running. Also when key is in the on
position the dash no longer lights up. Battery is
fine. What could cause this?  Car was fine before oil
change.

Changing the oil is not connected to the car starting. You say battery is fine? But the dash is not illuminated. What is the voltage of the battery? It should be over 12V.

It is exactly 12v. Have already tried jumping it but nothing new. It will turn over but not stay running It’s like the computer is shutting it down for some reason hence the dash is not lighting up.
