3 - 4 mile trips - will not restart ,, on long trips no issues - car runs great when start & driving - please help!!!

The Pontiac Grand Am is plagued with inactive ignition system failures. I would contact the dealership to find out if there's been some sort of recall that can be serviced by your local dealership.
