grand prix won't start

1998 wont start replaced fuel pump and relay no sound from pump any suggestions

check ECM fuse,in fuse box to see if blown,this fuse sends power to the FP.

checked all fuses all good still no pump action

may be a bad pump,or one of the wires broke loose during instalation.

second pump tried followed wires no loose connection does the ecm have a coded key to start all i have is a regular key

no coded key in 98,they came out later.you may have to pull the FP and check the wire conections,or the ECM itself could be bad,the ecm sends power to the FP.it has to be one of the two.know its a pain to drop the gas tank again just to check connections.can you borrow a scanner to check the ecm.
