are there any recalls on this car

Mine had the same problem. On the light motors there is a rubber cap on a manual adjuster. If you manually put up the light the motor may catch when you try the switch. Motors sometimes have bad spots in them in certain positions after being used many times. Mine works without problems after just tweeking where the motor stops and starts.

your motor may not be the problem 4th gen trans-ams headlight motor gears are plastic and over time they wear and will not go up or go up and will stay up. there are bronze replacement gears available that are much more durable. i suggest you check out this website/forum for 4th gen f-body owners(www.ls1tech.com/forums)
