Fog lights on pontiac grand prix

Yesterday the fog lights stayed on even though
engine was not running. Today car won't start. Do I
need new battery.  PS the car did start last night.

Not necessarily, depending on the condition of the battery, it may just need to be charged back up. But need to make sure the fog lights are off, or they drain the battery down so the car doesn't start.
