Wet backseat floor

Asked by ss_ashley Jan 25, 2016 at 06:47 PM about the 2003 Pontiac Vibe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Whenever it rains hard, water will fill up on the
passenger backseat floor first then make its way to
the front seat floor? Have yet to figure out why the
backseat floor would be getting wet first?

It is probably the low spot that is closest to the source of the water leak. Once it is in the carpet and padding it will continue to spread. Around the rear seat area, look for window and door seals to be the problem but also check underneath to locate any damage that could have punctured the floor pan.
