Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand am and it has been leaking coolant from the
overflow hose. I recently changed the thermostat but it still doing the same
thing and it slowly begins to over heat. Also when I turn off my car is can hear a
bubbling sound coming from the engine where the hose connects to the
radiator.

would start with a cooling system flush. it is not impossible that you have a bad head gasket. there is a combustion leak test for that.

I had the same problem with my grand am. The problem was that there was an air pocket in the cooling system. I ended up bleeding it while it was hot and pressurised and got the air pocket out. It's good now. Give it a try. If that doesn't work than it's probably your head gasket. Also check your intake manifold gasket.
