Why am i getting little to no heat?

Changed thermostat last winter. This seemed to fix the problem. This winter again am having little to no heat and my settings have been temperamental. Air was only blowing out of the defrost. I changed the blower motor out. settings adjustments seem to be working. But yet the heat is only occasionally warm, if warm at all. Figured maybe a flush would take care of the problem. No such luck that did not work either. Not sure what route to take next. Would prefer not to keep throwing parts for no promising outcome. Also I am having no issues with leaks or overheating

I live in wisco and I had the same problem put some cardboard between the radiators and it fixed it just remember to take it out in the spring

If air flow is OK out of your ducts, I would look to a thermostat with a higher temp setting or possibly a heat sensor feeding your computer (ECM). The cardboard blocking the airflow is an old trick but it does work sometimes. Theory is that the less air flowing over the radiator coils will allow the engine temp to rise more. You want this to happen but a higher temp thermostat will essentially do the same thing.
