The heater controls in my 2004 Grand Prix do not work.

Asked by Down7575 Aug 01, 2015 at 09:52 AM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Fan speed, Hot/cold switch and the defrost/face/floor switch, none of it works. Tried
installing different switches from another car, still nothing. Hot air comes out of the floor
vents. Not really sure where else to look to fix the issue. Any info would be appreciated.

Sounds like the resistor in the heat duct has failed. Fairly common. Not to bad to change yourself, although its a bit tricky to reach. Find a YouTube video to guide you.
