I have a 04 Pontiac Grand Prix, it sounds like there is some sort of whiny/squeaky noise coming from my brake pedal. Its not very loud, just loud enouhg to notice it. I dont think it is my brakes themselves though. Has anyone ever experienced this before? If so, what is it so I dont worry about it constantly.

Do you notice the noise while the car is moving, stoppedbut the engine running or just all the time? Does the noise go away when you press the brake pedal?

Your brakes seem OK because they are, but soo that will all change. I believe you're hearing the warning sensor that begins squeaking under non-braking conditions to warn you that your brakes are getting close to being worn out. If that is what's happening you will be able to get away with replacing just brake pads some time in the next few months. If you ignore it and wait till the brakes are totally worn out and grinding you will need to replace pads and rotors.
