O2 sensor the cause?

Asked by Guru13GCR Nov 14, 2019 at 03:43 PM about the 1999 Plymouth Voyager

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2.4L 1999 Plymouth Voyager. Codes are a cylinder
3 misfire and a bank 1 sensor. Highway speeds
runs great but city driving or hills forget it. Starts
misfiring, running poorly. Replaced spark plugs,
wires, ignition coil, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter,
camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position
sensor. Can a oxygen sensor really still be causing
the absolute terrible running condition? The
problem has been getting worse.

The misfire is probably causing the O2 sensor code but you can replace the sensor and see if that fixes the issue.
