Power steering

Asked by Jennifer Aug 20, 2017 at 04:28 AM about the 2000 Nissan Maxima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The power steering fluid leaks out all the time. I'm
not sure how to check the hoses to see if that
could be the cause.

Look around the pump and lines, no real easy way but to get dirty and find all the lines and follow them to see where its leaking from, may be the rack & pinion.

check the high pressure line, theres a bracket at the top next to engine compartment with a hose that should have a sleeve on it, push the rubber sleeve back if its wet right there, thats your problem.. you can get that hose for like 40 bucks but its a real pain to replace...
