Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I hace 57000 miles on my 2011 Lexus 350 #S and I have been I need to
replace my rack and pinion assembly. Does this sound logical?

Take it to another mechanic and get a second opinion. No one here can view the car so can't possibly advise on repairs.
